Here, I poured alcohol onto concrete in the shape of a letter, proceeding to ignite the shaped puddle with a lighter. When the full form was burning, I captured many photos of the burn, in attempts to capture the most eligible moment of the flames natural burn process.
After going through each letter of the alphabet, I brought the images into Adobe Photoshop, where I adjusted the threshold of each photo to its most eligible form, again. After adjusting each letter, I saved a copy of each letter as an inverted file so that there is a test of traditional black letter forms, as well as a set of white letters.
